This is a personal website. It has been created and maintained by Charmaine Spencer. The website was first launched n 2001 to help provide information to seniors in British Columbia who were facing a number of significant policies changes at the provincial level. It was revised in 2008 to focus on ethical and legal  issues  affecting older adults.

Charmaine is a member of the Law Society of BC, and a researcher with the Gerontology Research Centre at Simon Fraser University.  Over the past fifteen years, she has written many academic, legal practice and community publications on various aspects of the law affecting older adults including abuse and neglect, housing issues, immigration, and discrimination.
